Los Ensayos de Historia Andina que se publican en estos dos volúmenes reúnen lo más selecto de las investigaciones que durante una larga y fructífera trayectoria ha realizado el historiador nacional Edmundo Guillén Guillén, tal vez el más importante reivindicador de los fastos incaicos y de la heroica guerra de reconquista contra los españoles. <br/>Los Incas-explica el autor-implementan la ideología humanista del bien común. Practicando una adecuada legislación laboral lograron conjurar el hambre de los pueblos y con una precursora concepción geopolítica bregaron por la integración cultural panandina, construyendo el Estado imperial más poderoso de la América Prehispánica. Intercambiando conocimientos y aplicando milenarias experiencias científicas y tecnológicas, los incas alcanzaron un portentoso desarrollo económico, con un orden y una opulencia que el posterior gobierno feudal colonial y la república criolla trocaron desgraciadamente en miseria y en explotación inhumana. |
