Summary, etc.	La topografía a través del tiempo ha sufrido cambios significativos, tanto en el instrumental que se utiliza como el procesamiento de los datos obtenidos en el terreno. hoy el día es vital importancia adquirir mayores conocimientos en el área computacional para el desarrollo de la topografía, la que se hace indispensable en la etapa del gabinete. existen muchos programas que han contribuido a facilitar el desarrollo de la fotografía actual , sin embargo, uno de los mayores inconvenientes, es la adquisición de estos programas. el presente texto se ha incluido el programa topo cal el cual es de rápido acceso por Internet, este programa tiene dibujos de múltiples usos entre los cuales se encuentran: gratifica curvas de nivel,realizar cortes geológicos, elaborar columnas estratigraficas, construir perfiles longitudes y secciones transversales entre otras.
