| Summary, etc. | El departamento de Ayacucho (en quechua "el rincón de los muerto") estuvo polarizado por un periodo de cruel violencia política durante la década de los 80 y principios de los 90. Hacia la conclusión del conflicto, y debido a las conocidas tradiciones culturales de la región, el Centro de Etnomusicología Andina decidió en 1996 iniciar investigaciones y documentaciones audiovisual en estas zonas de emergencia, incluyendo los departamentos de Apurímac y Huancavelica. Este libro presenta varios estudios etnográficos sobre las principales fiestas de Ayacucho y veintisiete grabaciones musicales incluidas en el CD adjunto que constituyen las primeras expresiones culturales de esta región en ser divulgadas luego de esta difícil etapa. |
