Caben destacar dos aspectos principales de esta excelente obra. Por una parte, la perspectiva dinámica y global con que los autores tratan los diferentes contenidos. Por otra parte, el libro contiene un soporte gráfico muy destacado. La lectura y el estudio del texto, extenso y con gran cantidad de información y ejemplos, resulta agradable y de fácil comprensión gracias a los mapas, diagramas, cuadros y fotografías.
