Summary, etc.	Emilio Adolfo Westphalen es uno de los importantes poetas de la generación literaria de 1930, en la que destacan también Martín Adán, César Moro. Xavier Abril y los hermanos Enrique y Ricardo Peña Barrenechea.<br/>Con algo más de veinte años, Westphalen fue autor de dos obras centrales de la lírica peruana: Las ínsulas extrañas de Abolición de la muerte, aparecidas en 1933 y 1935, respectivamente. Después de estos hitos, el poeta no publicó durante cuatro décadas.<br/>
