| Summary, etc. | Las úlceras pépticas son defectos de la mucosa gastrointestinal que se extienden a traves de la muscular de la mucosa y persisten en función de la actividad ácido péptica del jugo gástrico. En su desarrollo, la ulcera peptica requiere ácido y actividad péptica, pero también alteración de los mecanismos normales de defensa de la mucosa gástrica, como ya reconoció Schwartz en 1910. El concepto mas aceptado de la fisiopatologia ulcerosa es la existencia de un desequilibrio entre los factores agresivos (ácido y pepsina) y los defensivos (moco y bicarbonato) de la mucosa gástrica. |
