| Summary, etc. | Desarrollo psicológico es un libro exitoso que se ha convertido en un clásico entre los profesores y estudiantes de psicología, educación, pedagogía y trabajo social. En esta nueva edición encontrará cambios que obedecen a actualizaciones y a la profundización en temas que no habían sido tratados con suficiente extensión. Se introduce al lector en la investigación y las teorías contemporáneas en el campo de la psicología del desarrollo, y se le exhorta a que aplique el conocimiento adquirido en la vida cotidiana. Como el campo tiene tantos retos y es tan abierto y polémico, se le ofrece la valiosa oportunidad de considerar diversas teorías, puntos de vista y pruebas para que pondere todo y se forme una opinión fundamentada. Se presenta el curso cronológico del desarrollo humano y se destacan las interacciones entre los temas. Los capítulos están ordenados de acuerdo con las divisiones de edad clásicas: periodo prenatal, infancia, niñez temprana, niñez media, adolescencia, juventud, madurez y vejez. Cada una de estas divisiones contiene dos capítulos: uno sobre el desarrollo físico y cognoscitivo, y otro acerca del desarrollo psicosocial. |
