Summary, etc. A mediados de la década de los noventa, cuando la institucionalización de la sociología como disciplina universitaria cumple 30 años, es interesante detenerse para ver el camino recorrido.<br/>Con la llamada crisis de los paradigmas las formas clásicas de haber ciencias sociales el América Latina han sido profundamente cuestionadas. Ahora es frecuente oír hablar de la crisis de la sociología e inclusive alguno dirá que asistimos a su fracaso.<br/>A pesar de la innegable influencia de la s ciencias sociales, sigue vigente el problema de cierta falta de precisión conceptual, así como la ausencia de un aclara delimitación de ámbitos de la sociología, antropología, las ciencias políticas y las ciencias de la comunicación.Esto ser una virtud por permitir el aporte y la confluencia de otras disciplinas, pero es una desventaja en la mediada que no se realiza un esfuerzo de conceptualización ni de precisión metodológica , lo cual influirá en la calidad d producción sociológica.
