| Summary, etc. | Con la publicación de la tercera edición , este texto empieza la cuarta década de su existencia. en retrospectiva a tenido tres etapas de desarrollo. la primera edición presento un despegue radical de los textos sobre fluidos en un tiempo. por ejemplo, fue primer texto que utilizo la ecuación de transportes de Reinolds para establecer las formas integrales de las leyes básicas mediante volúmenes de control. así mismo, fue primer texto que introdujo y utilizo el volumen de control no inercial. ademas, presento la deducción de la ley viscosidad de stokes y la formulación y el uso de las ecuaciones de navier stokes. estas innovaciones demostraron ser acertadas, ya que la primera edición se utilizo amplia mente; llego a 22 impresiones durante 20 años antes de dar paso ala segunda edición. |
